Three boys and an internet show.

Edition Live in St. Louis!

You are cordially invited on the day of Saturday April the 14th to celebrate the first year anniversary of the internet series Edition.

Fans of the show will know much has led up to the first ever live event and appearance of the Edition trio, recording an episode of the podcast directly in front of your faces.

The festivities will be held deep inside the world famous St. Louis City Museum, home to floors and floors of engineering genius, as well as the United State’s most unique adult-sized playground, housed in the 600,000 square-foot former International Shoe Company, the museum is an eclectic mixture of children’s playground, funhouse, surrealistic pavilion, and architectural marvel made out of unique, found objects. This is truly one of the neatest places on Earth.

Brand new Edition forum

Hey all-

Just wanted to let everyone know that we have finally decided to launch the official forums for the website and show.

Here you can do what you’ve been doing for the past handful of months over Twitter: discuss latest episodes/jokes and gossip about the comings and goings of the three hosts. And by the three hosts I mean Dylan’s prolific activity on okCupid.

You can see the link just above this post, unless of course you’re reading this weeks (or even years) after it was written, which in that case, you should click this link here and you will be magically taken to said forums.

Have fun, and make some new friends.

An update on the new show

Hey guys. If you’ve listened to the latest episode of the show that has been published, “The Final Podcast”, you may know a few inside details regarding the upcoming news for this website and the show.

That being said, we wanted to offer you an update on the progress we have had behind the scenes, and what to expect in the coming weeks.

This week has been full of pre-preproduction, and many long nights (even though last night may or may not have been dedicated to billiards). Production will start this weekend, with the main block of production kicking in Monday night. We are all incredibly pumped with the work we’ve been doing/will do and very excited to be able to offer you this product.

Expect something in the middle of the next work week, possibly late in the work week. And remember, we love all of you and couldn’t be doing any of this without your ridiculous tweets and emails.

Keep it up, say hello, and we’ll see you soon.

-Zack, Dylan, and Henry

Costumes are coming.

The Edition team have been preparing in the plenty for the upcoming Halloween weekend. I don’t want to spoil what will come of it, but I will say this:

Henry’s is very timely and pop-culture appropriate
Dylan picked his up only yesterday
I still have no idea what the hell I am going to wear

Expect a show full of rhetoric and gods know what else, coming very very soon.

What are you going as? Let us know on twitter. We’ll chat about it on the show.

Lollapalooza 2011 Playlist

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of attending one of the best American music festivals. When I was a kid, Lollapalooza was still a traveling music tour that visited over 20 US cities. In 2005, the event was held in Grant Park in Downtown Chicago, where it has happily remained ever since.

Lollapalooza started out as a festival for Alternative Rock and Grunge, but it has grown into so much more. This year’s event was the largest yet, and brought a wide variety of musical acts from burgeoning dubstep artists to classic rock bands to one of the greatest rap acts of all time. It was 3 days of complete and utter madness, and for those of you who were able to attend, it was one hell of a muddy shitshow.

To share some of the love and goodness I captured from Lolla 2011, I made this wonderful Spotify playlist for you all. It’s 30 songs from 30 artists and a complete sampling of genres. If you still need a Spotify invite, send us an email at info@edition.fm. I hope you all give it a listen and find something new to dig into. Enjoy!

Edition fan speaks out

Hey all-

I wanted to share something with you that has had us laughing for weeks.

If you listen to the podcast, you know that Edition listener Chance Clay has been trolling us (friendly) for the past few weeks.

Coincidentally, Chance has taken his trolling to new heights with the creation of his/our very own rage comic directed toward myself and the podcast.

Happy Birthday, Henry

Hey friends-

Today is the the day. Today is your favorite sturgeon-faced (get your Google on) word scientist’s birthday. I know how excited you all must be.

Yes, between frequent trips to the Lego Store and liking Facebook wall post birthday wishes, our dear friend and Edition podcast co-host will be checking his twitter feed, much like any normal day — I encourage you all to take advantage of this and send him some kind of message to his twitter.

Dylan’s contribution:

It’s Friday the 13th. So here’s Rebecca Black looking like a witch with Steve Buschemi’s eyes, followed by a classic quote from Bunk Moreland of The Wire.

Happy Birthday Henry!
